Our Why
Because happy, glowing girls is for everyone
A camp like no other for girls. Unity, community, and camp nostalgia… with an upgrade. Campfire conversations for the next generation of empowered women. Created by women to meet an urgent need of helping girls find and maintain their confidence in sports and in life. Through the sport of skating, we teach campers life skills and strategies in an age-appropriate way, keeping the process FUN and ENGAGING. The world needs more girl power. Let’s start them young and teach them well. Camp Ultraviolet is more than your average summer camp. We aim to motivate and inspire young girls to make mental training as important as physical training. Tapping into some of the best sport and performance psychology resources, the curriculum will be presented in an energetic and educational way, giving them necessary tools to carry them through life’s many ups and downs. Whether she is a shy bookworm or a vibrant ball of moxie, this camp is for HER. The sport of skating provides the perfect backdrop for goal setting, as our young campers will gracefully go from baby steps to thirty-four laps (5k). Our goal is to leave them stronger than we found them and help them find their unique inner GLOW

Our Happy Campers!
“Camp Ultraviolet
was transformative for our 10 year old daughter. The camp’s age-appropriate focus on girl power, emotional resilience, and inclusiveness had such a positive impact on our daughter and boosted her confidence. Importantly,
the camp was fun—our daughter wishes it was all summer! True friendships were formed and we can’t wait for both of our girls to join this year!”
-Collette, mom to Scarlett (CUV '21)
"My daughter has benefited far more than I can say from Camp Ultraviolet. She grew greatly in her confidence and resilience following camp. She came home with a light inside her we hadn’t seen before. She is fierce and has a better understanding of her emotions and how to put words to her feelings and advocate for her own needs. Camp Ultraviolet would benefit all girls, but their focus on 7-12 year olds is especially critical. I am thankful for Camp Ultraviolet for providing a safe, fun place for my daughter to learn a foundation of skills and strategies that will help her now and throughout her life. The staff could not be more perfect and the curriculum is just amazing."
- Lacey, mom to Annabelle (age 9)
"We are so grateful for Camp Ultraviolet! While my daughter had SO much fun, she also built skills and confidence that she can apply in all areas of life. I love that the first time our family went skating after she participated in CUV she wasn't just excited to show off her skills, she was mostly excited to TEACH us what she learned. From instructors to peers they are building a sense of culture of seeing and supporting others while trying new things! The attention to attitude, heart, and character is more valuable than anything else and I love that these girls get to learn at an early age how to care well for themselves holistically while having a blast. Thank you so much to the whole CUV team."
-Michelle, mom to Fern (age 8)
